This set of books is an admiring exploration of economical language. "The Economy of Words" pairs the text with my own photography, drawings, and collages, while "Words" is an art journal of sorts with blank pages for a reader to create their own imagery to pair with the language. The bits of text are like a sieve from my brain, but it’s my hope that the books end up being a picture of the human experience and that they illustrate what pieces of very brief language can do to a person. I want someone—you—to walk away from the project feeling a flash, a spark. Of memory, of experience, of vulnerability, of advocacy, of something that moves you. And then go out into the world that way.
